Hi! My name is Alex.

Born in Portugal and raised in England, I speak both English and Portuguese and therefore can celebrate your wedding in either language or both where needed. I am also available to be your interpreter for your civil (legal) part of your wedding, be it as part of a church ceremony, at a venue or at the registry office, you can count on me to bridge the language barrier.

Although I started as a celebrant, here in Portugal, I have experience with organising as I had my own wedding company in the UK. Initially, I found myself helping couples with their plannings here and was encouraged to move into the Wedding Planner side by them. Now I work as an in-house wedding planner for a beautiful Quinta in the Mafra area, as well as independently, but I still like to work as a celebrant, as there is something so beautiful about uniting two people in love.

Be it as a celebrant or as a wedding planner, it is my aim and my pleasure to make your wedding day special for you and your guests, therefore it would be my task to get to know you, (the couple) and know your desires for this special day, and to help you find out what those might be, should you not yet know yourself.

Hi! My name is João Sena

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, I obviously speak Portuguese, but as I'm of the English T.V generation I also speak perfect English.

I have a degree in Marketing but later studied theatre and became an Actor, and have worked both on stage and film as well in advertisements and voice acting. By the end of 2022 I was invited by Alex to join her as a backup celebrant, which then turned into working as a celebrant on my own right.

Now, I happily juggle all these different passions and it would be my delight to celebrate your wedding with you. But don't worry, I will be there 100% for you. I guarantee that I will do everything I can to make your ceremony special and unique.

Hi, My name is Joanne Gribler,

I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese fluently and I would be happy to perform your ceremony in any of these languages.

I have many interests: writing books, singing, songwriting and I'm buildings a fairy garden,

I have been on stage most of my life as a performer and then as a motivational speaker as well as the leader of Laughter Yoga. For me, being a wedding celebrant was a natural step and a Joy and an honour.

I also started and perform Self Partner Weddings in Portugal for Women. Ask me for more information.

What is a wedding celebrant?

A celebrant officiates your symbolic, (non legal) ceremony and can translate your legal Church or Civil wedding. Be this your first wedding, are having an official or non official wedding, having a second service for friends and family, or are renewing your vows, a celebrant is the person to seek.

Symbolic Weddings.

Symbolic Weddings can be as simple or as extravagant as your heart desires. It all depends on you. You may decide to just have your celebrant or go the whole way with all the bells on it.

What will my Wedding celebrant do for me?

Your wedding celebrant is available to discuss what readings you wish to have for your wedding and anything else you may need. A celebrant can also be available as your interpreter for the civil part of your wedding.
